Who's behind WSG?

My name is Rachel Land Nystrom. I'm the founder of WSG. I believe that better writing makes the world a better place. Cheesy? Perhaps. But that's OK by me.

I'm obsessed with learning about the craft of writing but also the psychology of communication. Great writing is great for business. It can increase sales and help businesses connect with their customers. That's where my writing services can help. I write a wide variety of projects for clients from technical reports to marketing copy.

But I can't stop at just writing. As a former writing instructor, I am compelled to help people become a better writers. I've seen how poor writing can ruin work environments.  So not only do I write, but I've made it my goal to help improve written communication for the workplace. That's where my blog and training services come in.

What's your experience?

Before opening WSG, I wrote for several organizations. My writing career began in the newsroom where I was tasked with cranking out 1,500 words of publishable writing a day. Word counts lightened up when I moved to the corporate sector. There I wrote technical materials for several companies. In 2009, I opened my own business..

Is it just you?

Sometimes, but not always. I have a team of writers I work with. Depending on the project scope, I bring in from time to time to help. That's why we're Writing Solutions Group. I don't do it all alone.
